On a typical day campers will move through an art lessons, immersive exhibition time, a science lesson in our working garden, time to play outside, and time to relax with calm structured activities. We have specific plans to diversify instruction to meet the developmental needs of our campers and we have special activities on some days when they have water play, ice cream and dance parties along with an informal camper talent show. We have a maximum of 24 campers – 2-3 instructors and 2-4 counselors on site at all times along with a Camp Director. Campers bring with them nut-free snacks, lunch and a water bottle.

Camp MoCA is the perfect opportunity for parents to give their children a summer experience that they will never forget. Our camp is fully accredited, which means that parents can rest assured that their children are in good hands. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all of our campers.

All families and friends will be invited to celebrate their camper’s artwork on Sunday, August 27th at our first annual Camper Art Exhibition focused on the themes of Self, Family and Relationship to Community.

Sending your child to Camp MoCA is an investment in their future, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore their creativity, embrace their individuality, and develop a growth mindset. With a focus on agricultural lessons and featured artists, hands-on projects, and celebrating each camper's unique perspective, Camp MoCA offers a transformative experience that empowers campers to see themselves as members of a larger community.

At Camp MoCA, we believe that art is not just about creating beautiful objects; it's about fostering creativity, self-expression, and growth. Our agricultural lessons, for example, teach campers about the interconnectedness of our environment and the importance of taking care of the world around us. By engaging in hands-on projects in our working garden, campers learn about the importance of sustainable living and the power of collaboration. They learn that their actions have an impact on the world around them, and that they can make a difference in their community.

Featured artists, such as Frida Kahlo, Keith Haring, and Andy Warhol, inspire our campers to explore new forms of artistic expression and to push the boundaries of their own creativity. Through their work, campers learn about the power of art to communicate ideas, express emotions, and bring people together. By seeing themselves as members of a larger artistic community, our campers develop a sense of connection and belonging that extends beyond the confines of MoCA Westport.

At Camp MoCA, we celebrate each camper's unique perspective and encourage them to embrace their individuality. By providing a supportive and inclusive environment, we empower campers to express themselves freely and to explore their own creativity without fear of judgment. Through this process, campers develop a growth mindset that allows them to see failure as an opportunity to learn and to embrace new challenges with enthusiasm and determination.

It is our belief that all children should have access to creative expression, community building, and hands-on learning experiences, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. We are committed to providing opportunities for all children to attend Camp MoCA and participate in our unique and enriching programming. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and encourages growth mindset, empowering children to see themselves as valuable members of their community. We believe that investing in a child's artistic education is an investment in their future, and we are dedicated to making this investment accessible to all.
