Join us on April 6th from 12p-1:30p to view a demonstration of the unique effects of encaustic painting with local artist, Leslie Giuliani, followed by a guided tour of our exhibition (tour begins after demo concludes)

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Giuliani received her BFA in Fine Art from The University of Delaware, with further studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. Her work is represented in collections of the Housatonic Museum of Art, the State of CT, and many private collections.

She was the recipient of an Artist Fellowship Grant from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism for Craft. She is Core Support Instructor for R&F Handmade Paints. Giuliani lives and works in Weston, CT. 

Encaustiflex, developed by fine artist Leslie Giuliani, is a microfiber material similar to paper that absorbs encaustic paint beautifully, yet remains physically flexible after painting. It is rip-proof. It comes in a variety of weights and can be put through your computer’s ink jet printer prior to painting. The prints do not smear when painted-a great way to start a painting or monoprint.
