How do you start and end your day? How do you feel when you wake up in the morning? Can you easily let go of what happened during your day?

In this 5-week course, you will learn to incorporate mindfulness into your daily bookends to help you manage your stress level, understand your daily stressors, and find time for yourself. By focusing on our morning and evening routines, we get to choose the tone we want to set for our day and what thoughts we want to carry into our night’s sleep. 

In each session, we will explore different meditations and other mindfulness tools to allow for moments of peace and stillness to welcome and let go of our day.

This course combines learning to practice of mindfulness through art. Being aware of what is happening inside and around you in the present moment though mindfulness practice, you can learn to live happily in the present moment. Mindfulness practice involves self-exploration and becoming aware of our minds, bodies, feelings, and thoughts. Art-making helps to explore what we experience and discover in our mindfulness practice. Throughout the course, we explore creating art as a way to invite and acknowledge our inner experience.

Sunday Yoga

This is a mixed level class that will help tone your body while enhancing balance, core strength and flexibility. Movement is guided by breath using purposeful movement to progress in and out of poses. Emphasis is on reducing physical and mental stress in the body while building strength and confidence with ease. Various options are given allowing the practitioner to move at their own pace and comfort level. All this while surrounded by incredible art at MoCA makes for a beautiful start to your Sunday.

This course explores self-expression through discussion, art, and learning new skills to enhance the way we express ourselves in the world. Discussion topics include identity, feelings, healthy expression, and self-esteem. Come ready to share, learn, and EXPRESS YOURSELF in a supportive and safe space. This is a four week long course where each week's topics build upon the previous week. Taught by Erika Brunwasser and Megan Rajbanshi.
