Summer Art Course Offerings
Expressive Art for Toddlers
with Amy Chaple
This is a 1 hour class that runs from Monday through Friday for toddlers ages 18 months - 3 years old. Parents are welcome to participate or relax and observe while they remain on site. The class will be held outdoors weather permitting. Expressive Art for Toddlers exposes our youngest participants to varied mediums, textural experiences, and offers opportunities for them to create and artistically express themselves throughout the week.
Single June/ July Session Kids Art Workshop
with Erika McGhee
Drop off your children for an age-appropriate exciting art activity. This art session requires participants to bring a smock or wear clothes that may get messy. Pre-K to 3rd graders welcome!

This workshop will review 30 years of skateboard design featuring the work artists and skateboarders including Tony Hawk. Students will develop their own skateboard deck design and apply it their own skateboards. This is a double session course running on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. 5th grade through high school students may sign up. Students will need to bring their own skateboards and we will provide all other supplies and instruction.
Learn How to Code!

A creative, fun and easy course for ALL students to learn how to create programs, games, and how to apply coding concepts. They will also learn how to 'debug' their programs. Students will gain proficiency in more advanced programming ideas and learn how to plan and build more projects by using 'Scratch.' Students will need to bring their own laptops and download free software. This course is offered to Middle School through Adult students.

This course expects to acquaint members with the Arduino programming; all understudies love working with Arduino, it's imaginative, easy to understand and straightforward and an incredible method to begin studying gadgets and mechanical technology. This course will utilize both hypothetical and practical learning and or working sessions to encourage the essential abilities expected to acquaint your understudies with the Arduino programming and C++ coding language. Before the finish of the course you will have the abilities needed for your own Arduino project. Students will need to bring their own laptop and download couse software. This course is offered to Middle School through Adult students.
Intro to Digital Photography

In this 4 week course, participants will learn how to use their cameras or mobile phones to capture imagery like a professional photographer. Taught by Kvon Behpour, an award winning commercial photographer. Over the course of a 30+ year career, he has worked with record labels, top brands, and many of Connecticut’s finest advertising agencies.
This 4 part course is offered on Wednesdays from 5-6p in June, July and August to ages 14 to adult.
The World of Digital Animation

The World of Animation:
Unleash your inner animator as you learn about the fascinating world of digital animation. This class delves into: the “12 Principles of Animation”, 2D Animation, 3D Animation, and how to pursue a career in animation. This is a 4-week long session (1 class per week) on Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30p. This session begins on June 9th. Students will need to bring laptops and download free animation software on site. This course is offered to ages 14 - adult.
The Art of Cinematography
with Saxon Thaler
Get ready to dissect your favorite movies and even craft your own short films. This class tanes an in-depth look into: shot compostion, lighting & color, sound design, and film editing software. This is a 4-week long session (1 class per week). This is a class for high school and adult students that will run from 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
