Toddler Multicultural Art from Around the Globe

18 Months to 3 year olds: Toddlers will explore different materials in projects inspired by global cultures.

Mindfulness Art (Grades 6-12) April 15-May 6

This course combines learning to practice of mindfulness through art. Being aware of what is happening inside and around you in the present moment though mindfulness practice, you can learn to live happily in the present moment. Mindfulness practice involves self-exploration and becoming aware of our minds, bodies, feelings, and thoughts. Art making helps to explore what we experience and discover in our mindfulness practice. Throughout the course we explore creating art as a way to invite and acknowledge our inner experience.

- Landscapes from the Inside
- Listening to our Self-Talk (ICP)
- Mixed-Media Doodles
- Cloud Painting
- Mindful Movement- Before and After imagery with practicing mindful movement
- Allowing all that comes up (emotions, thoughts, bodily feelings), tissue paper collage
- Playful art exploration, inviting joy, gratitude

Express Yourself! (9-11 years old)

This course explores self-expression through discussion, art, and learning new skills to enhance the way we express ourselves in the world. Discussion topics include identity, feelings, healthy expression, and self-esteem. Come ready to share, learn, and EXPRESS YOURSELF in a supportive and safe space. This is a four week long course where each week's topics build upon the previous week. Taught by Erika Brunwasser and Megan Rajbanshi.

Art and Nature

Explore the natural world through art! ‘Art and Nature’ combines both life science and art for children ages 18 months to 3 yrs! Each week students will learn a new developmentally appropriate science fact by incorporating it with a creative activity. This class will allow both you and your child to be hands on with a wide variety of mediums.
