Basic Techniques of Watercolors Sundays 10a-11:30a

This 4 part Sunday afternoon series of classes is offered to middle school - adult participants on Sundays from 10a - 11:30a. If you love the whimsical, fluid nature of watercolors then this is the course for you. Perfect for beginners or those who wish to freshen up their skills, students will learn about composition, color theory, and blending techniques in watercolor while producing still-life paintings. This is a great opportunity to become comfortable with the medium in a relaxed, encouraging setting.
Abstract Painting and Acrylic Techniques Tuesday Evenings

This 4 part series of classes is offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:30p-8:30p to middle school- adult aged participants. Explore the joys of abstract painting. In this class, students will learn the ins and outs of abstract painting using acrylic paints. They will learn composition, color theory, essential painting techniques, and how to achieve the fluid, free nature of abstract painting. You will also dive into the various techniques of acrylic painting. Each evening, students will explore a different technique or painting process involved in this medium. Whether you are a beginner or are looking to brush up on your skills, this class is a perfect way to explore all things acrylic painting.

Afternoon Intensive Art Camp MoCA 2022

Afternoon Intensive Art Camp MoCA program operates rain or shine, weekly 1:00p - 3:00p M-F, from the week of June 6th to the week of August 22nd. Campers ages 9 - 12 may sign up for a single week or multiple weeks at a time.
Each week of Camp MoCA will feature weekly intensive art enrichment opportunities for our older campers; ages 9-12.
Afternoon Intensive Art CampMoCA will run from 1:00p-3:00p daily, and will be led by certified educators, art instructors and CPR-certified camp counselors.
We also offer a Half Day (9:30a-12:30p) and Full Day (9:30a-3p) options for our younger campers ages 3-8. Registration for these options can be found HERE.
Camp MoCA is a fully accredited youth camp held both indoors in our spacious air-conditioned classrooms and outdoors, weather-permitting. We will be closely monitoring best practices from state governance to implement for the safety of all campers, visitors, and staff.

Sundays from 10a-11:30a. Offered to middle school through adult learners. Review the basics of professional photography and create a portfolio consisting of 10-15 photos over the course of 4 sessions. This class is offered to beginners and intermediate photographers and will be adjusted to the level of each participant.
Participants will learn how to build upon existing skills or learn new ones such as:
- Editing photos correctly
- Using a DSLR camera or iPhone to take photos
- Using their Laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop Downloaded (with a 30 day free trial)
- Reviewing Contrast, Leading Lines, The Rule of Thirds, MASP Modes, Shutter speed, and Light.
- Capturing Nature, people, and action shots
- Discussion of Ansel Adams when learning how to transfer images and focus on color vs black and white in Lightroom
- Work with a Light Meter vs the sun
